A brand-new educational center has been approved by the government. This new school center will be constructed in Moura, Portugal. 3.7 million Euros have been invested in the educational system in the city of Moura.
New Educational Center To Be Constructed In Moura
The municipal council has constructed a new Moura Volunteer Firefighter’s School Center. This center is located in the Beja district and was opened on 13 September. An investment of 3.7 million Euros has already been made in this project. This center will focus on preschool and primary school. It will have facilities like a laboratory, multipurpose rooms, a library, teaching space, covered and uncovered areas, and much more.

This newly constructed center will have its main focus on primary and preschool education. There will be several components, and the first phase includes the renewal plan for the school network of the city. The mayor, Álvaro Azedo has said that this new center has a world of its own. The construction is state of the art and the design facilities offered here will be like no other. He stated:
It has a different offering that other schools didn’t have. It’s a new world, what’s happening in Moura.
Mayor Approves The New Center
The mayor has stated that the construction of the new center is part of a ‘massive plan’. The bigger plan is to renovate the school network which will also look into modernizing the school park of the city. The mayor has also stated that times have changed because parents nowadays are always looking for schools that provide the best facilities along with the best education. A specific school is not linked with the children of that neighborhood only or that particular area.
European co-financing has been selected for this project as stated by the municipality. The financial value of the project is around 85% of the eligible amount which is around 2 million Euros. The remaining value will be coming from their end. The mayor of the municipality has briefed that the center holds significant value because it offers learning to children and a good amount of work from the teachers. It has been stated by the mayor:
We provide the best conditions that a public school can offer and this public school that we are serving, in the municipality of Moura, is the public school that dignifies the work of teachers, the learning of our children, and the importance that families give to the safety and work that is done with their children.
This will assure the parents that the new center is the best platform for the learning of their children. A huge amount of revenue is spent on this new educational center because the government wants more children to benefit from it. It provides top-notch facilities to children and highly qualified teachers are hired in this center. The quality of education in Moura municipality has been increased for the betterment of society.
