Safe Haven For Investment
Pedro Reis, minister of economy in Portugal believes that the country is a haven for all types of investments. Although there are some political issues and tensions, Portugal is still considered the best place for investment. Recently, many foreign investors have also invested in the property of the country.

The minister of economy gave his statement during a conference in Lisbon. This conference was organized by the Financial Times about recent economic growth in the world and all the updates related to it. He stated:
In a global context of profound geopolitical and economic changes, new patterns in international trade, and of greater volatility, Portugal [will position itself as a] safe haven for investment.
Pedro wants the government to provide facilities for the right ecosystem. There should be a sustainable growth model which should be followed by Portugal. The Economy Minister stated:
[Government should be] creating the right ecosystem for innovation. There is no path to a sustainable growth model dissociated from a vibrant private sector capable of providing the necessary investment and innovation.
Lisbon Economy Conference
The Minister of Economy attended the conference in Lisbon which was arranged by Financial Times. The theme of the conference was “How can the public and private sectors collaborate to accelerate economic growth?”. Pedro talked about the potential investments in Portugal which can strengthen the economic growth of the country. Portugal will be promoting renewable energy to move towards the sustainable development of the country.
Portugal will grow in terms of sustainable development within the country which will remain active for several generations. This is why Pedro enforced people to invest in some sectors of industry within the country.
The President of the Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency (AICEP), Ricardo Arroja also stated about completing the objective of Portugal to promote more investments in the country. Ricardo believes that the government should also consider the high penetration of renewable energy. The future of Portugal is sustainable development in the energy sector. He also believes that the government should consider the low electricity prices in the country. Ricardo aims to make sustainable energy his next goal as it will benefit Portugal in the long term.
