Cascais Christmas Village 2024

This year, the Christmas Village will expand to the nearby Hipódromo Manuel Possolo lawn. This new space will add exciting features which also include an artificial lake and a large stage with seating for up to 300 people. The extra space allows for more shows, musical performances, and family activities.

Each part of the village will be beautifully decorated which is making it the perfect place for holiday photos and festive memories. Thousands of lights will brighten up the whole village and create a magical holiday atmosphere.

The Christmas Village will have classic attractions like a Ferris wheel, two carousels, and a big bright Christmas tree as the main centerpiece. Visitors can walk through Christmas markets, browse holiday items, and find unique gifts from local shops.

The Vila de Natal dos Pequeninos (Christmas Village for Little Ones) will be a special treat for families with children. This mini village includes tiny versions of local landmarks like the Santa Marta Lighthouse and a traditional windmill. Wooden houses in this area offer fun activities and games which creates a playful space for kids to explore and enjoy.

Food And Affordable Tickets Price

A big part of the Christmas Village is the food and drink options. The restaurant area is larger this year. The Christmas market will feature about 50 local brands with plenty of seasonal treats.

Visitors can try sweet pastries, hot chocolate, and warm holiday drinks. Local cheeses, sausages, and Portuguese liqueurs will also be available which makes it a great spot to taste the flavors of Cascais.

Tickets are reasonably priced for families and individuals. Tickets cost €12 for children aged 3 to 11. There is also a family package at €70 which includes entry for two adults and four children. People who have a Viver Cascais card (residents, workers, and students) get a 20% discount on tickets which makes it even more affordable for locals to enjoy.

Annual Christmas Showcases

The Christmas Village also supports the community. This year, Cascais will have its fourth annual “Christmas Showcases” where local shops and businesses decorate their windows in festive themes. These displays bring holiday charm to the town and attract shoppers.

There is also the “Árvore Solidária” (Solidarity Tree) project which involves over 30 local organizations. Visitors can support different causes through this project and help spread holiday joy to those in need. The Christmas Village shows that the holiday season is about giving as well as celebrating.

The Christmas Village is a community event organized by Unisports with support from the Cascais City Council. The City Council’s support shows its commitment to making Cascais a festive and welcoming place for the holidays.

For Cascais residents, the Christmas Village is a holiday tradition and it also brings visitors from around Portugal and beyond. Everyone comes to enjoy the lights, the food, and the friendly holiday atmosphere. It Is a special event with something for everyone.
