EasyJet Lands Makes History As It Lands For The First Time From Portugal To Cape Verde On 29 October
EasyJet makes history as its first-ever plane lands on Sal Island, Cape Verde. This historic flight took place on 29 October from Portugal, with 186 passengers on board. This flight was received with a warm welcome by the Minister of Tourism and Transport of Cape Verde.
Historic Flight From Portugal
A much-anticipated flight traveled from Portugal to Cape Verde, a place on Sal Island. This event marked a historic journey, initiated by the Portuguese Government. Both the Minister of Tourism and Transport for Cape Verde, Carlos Santos, and CEO of Cabo Verde Airports, Jorge Benchimol Duarte were present to welcome the first-ever flight from Portugal.

EasyJet had announced a new route back in May which would take passengers from ISHA DO Sal to Lisbon and Porto. They announced that a total of 50,000 seats are reserved for this route during the winter season. Furthermore, the airlines announced that they will be extending their route in Cape Verde until the summer of 2025. These flights will be run from two Portuguese cities: Lisbon and Porto. People will be able to book the flights for the summer season in the next few weeks. The General Director of EasyJet in Portugal, José Lopes stated:

With 4 weekly flights from Lisbon and 2 from Porto, Sal Island is closer than ever. The company continues providing trips at unbeatable prices, with customer satisfaction being its main priority.
4 Flights Per Week From Lisbon And Porto
EasyJet airlines have announced that they will conduct 6 weekly flights from both Lisbon and Porto. These flights will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Lisbon. Similarly, people can book their flights from Porto every Wednesday and Saturday. The airlines have further increased to 32 destinations from Lisbon and 29 destinations from Porto.
The flight operation has been increased by EasyJet airlines which has led the company to take services from A320 NEO aircraft. The airline will have 3 NEO aircraft in Lisbon and 2 in Porto for the duration of winter. This decision has been made due to an increasing demand for tropical destinations by the customers. The response of the company has been solid as they have increased the availability of flights and introduced new routes to different places. The fares are much more affordable as well as traveling to places in Portugal with the cultural heritage of the country. José Lopes stated:

Carlos Santos, the Minister of Tourism and Transport believes that this is a new beginning for Cape Verde. All the praises are directed towards the efforts of the Minister of Tourism and the EasyJet airlines staff who made this historic flight happen. This project has had a positive impact on the lives of Cape Verde as hundreds of jobs have been created. The Minister of Tourism stated:

The airline currently operates as one of the biggest low-cost operating airlines in Europe. This is why there has been an increase in demand for more EasyJet flights to various places around the world. These flights from Portugal to Cape Verde in Sal Island will bring more entrepreneurs and business opportunities to Sal Island. Jorge Benchimol Duarte stated:
