UN Tourism Global Conference was held in Armenia to discuss the wine tourism experiences. This conference, which was held from 11 to 13 September, was a great success. This has made wine experts rank the best countries for wine enthusiasts and Portugal ranked 1st in the list.

Portugal has been ranked first place as the best country for wine enthusiasts. This ranking was initiated after the success of the conference held for Tourism. This conference was the 8th edition where stakeholders of wine tourism explored various strategies to promote win culture. They aim to make a sustainable and resilient model for the heritage of wines.

A travel and adventure company, Bounce, analyzed all the countries that make wine. He analyzed them through various factors which are as follows:
- How much wine is exported to other countries
- Which country has the best taste for wine
- Who has bigger vineyards
- The prices of various kinds of wine
This analysis was summed up in a list of countries that were ranked according to their performance. Ratings were given to each country, and they were ranked accordingly. This list reveals Portugal as the first spot for the best destination for wine lovers. It scored 8.96 points out of 10. The country has a rich heritage of wine which dates back to many years. The prices for the wine were within an affordable range for most people. Portugal has an average price of 4.67 Euros for each bottle of wine. All these factors have ranked Portugal in the number one spot.

Portugal lands the first spot in this list of best destinations for wine lovers. It is stated that Portugal consumes 58 liters of wine per person. It has 25.5 tastings per million people. 2.09% of this country is covered by vineyards which produce wines in large quantities. The most famous wine region is the Douro Valley. This area is located in the north of the country. It includes regions such as Dão, Alentejo, and Vinho Verde.
The Portuguese make large quantities of wines. They produce various types of wines and export them to other countries as well. The most famous one is Port wine which is named after Porto city. Portugal is also the largest wine consumer per capita. It consumes 600 million liters of wine every year. Although this is less than other countries like France and Italy, it has the highest consumption per person.
Italy has taken the second spot in this list by scoring 8.68 points out of 10. It is well known for its big vineyards and a history of good, expensive wines. It is also the largest wine exporter with 21.37 million hectoliters of wine exported.
France and Spain take the third place with a score of 7.92 out of 10. The price of wine in France is a little higher than in other countries. They have a bottle of wine for 7 Euros. They also consume 35.8 liters of wine per person. Spain is ranked so high due to the distribution of wine worldwide. It exported more than 20 million hectoliters of wine in the last year only.
